Here at Sherwood Forest Bed and Breakfast, here's some suggestions for you to do today. You can hit the Antique Mall and see all you grandparents old stuff, wander over the Lakeside Lanes in Douglas, they have 8 lanes. Then you can head to the The Holland Museum it's located at 31 W. 10th Street in downtown Holland, an awesome place to spend a few Hours! The current exhibit is ARCHIPELAGO: Indigenous Art of Indonesia & Melanesia.
Take a long walk along the beach and wonder at the marvel of the ice on the lake, there are some winter birds on the water too, such as Greater and Lesser Scaup, Common Goldeneye and Oldsquaws, which inhabit Lake Michigan’s near and offshore waters as long as the lake remains ice-free.
It always cooler near the lake so with the temps right around freezing, you can go ice skating, either in downtown Douglas or Saugatuck, Michigan. Cross country ski or snowshoe at the state park (you can rent both at Landsharks). Do some sledding at Westshore Golf Course (2nd hole is the best! and we have sleds). Head to Phil's Grill in Saugatuck for lunch today, they've got one of the best burgers in town and you can catch some the the Olympics at the same time.
