Movie
DESIGN FOR LIVING
(1933) Ernest Lubitsch directed Gary Cooper, Fredric March, and Miriam Hopkins. Two Americans sharing a flat in Paris, playwright Tom Chambers and painter George Curtis, fall for free-spirited Gilda Farrell. When she can't make up her mind which one of them she prefers, she proposes a "gentleman's agreement": She will move in with them as a friend and critic of their work, but they will never have sex. But when Tom goes to London to supervise a production of one of his plays, leaving Gilda alone with George, how long will their gentleman's agreement last? 7 pm at the Saugatuck-Douglas Library. Free admission and free popcorn

Take a long walk along the beach and wonder at the marvel of the ice on the lake, there are some winter birds on the water too, such as Greater and Lesser Scaup, Common Goldeneye and Oldsquaws, which inhabit Lake Michigan’s near and offshore waters as long as the lake remains ice-free.

With today's fresh snow and the temps right around freezing, you can go ice skating, either in downtown Douglas or Saugatuck, Michigan. Cross country ski or snowshoe at the state park (you can rent both at Landsharks). Do some sledding at Westshore Golf Course (2nd hole is the best! and we have sleds).
