Good Morning Douglas and Saugatuck, Michigan

Today in West Michigan: Last night we had about 3 inches of fresh powder, today will have temps in the low 30's. Northeast wind between 11 and 17 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow accumulation of around 3 inches.

Here at Sherwood Forest Bed and Breakfast, love is still in the air folks, we're almost full for this weekend, so if your looking to get away with your significant other and gaze lovingly into each others eye (we can also place some awesome chocolates, roses or champaign in your room and recommend a great romantic restaurant too). Give us a call and we can help make sure you get the downtime you desire.

Here's an indoor and a few outdoor suggestions.

Here at Sherwood Forest Bed and Breakfast, here's some suggestions for you to do today. You can hit the Antique Mall and see all you grandparents old stuff, wander over the Lakeside Lanes in Douglas, they have 8 lanes. Then you can head to the The Holland Museum it's located at 31 W. 10th Street in downtown Holland, an awesome place to spend a few Hours! The current exhibit is ARCHIPELAGO: Indigenous Art of Indonesia & Melanesia

Take a long walk along the beach and wonder at the marvel of the ice on the lake, there are some winter birds on the water too, such as Greater and Lesser Scaup, Common Goldeneye and Oldsquaws, which inhabit Lake Michigan’s near and offshore waters as long as the lake remains ice-free.

With today's fresh snow and the temps right around freezing, you can go ice skating, either in downtown Douglas or Saugatuck, Michigan. Cross country ski at the state park (you can rent skis at Landsharks). Do some sledding at Westshore Golf Course (2nd hole is the best! and we have sleds).
