Here at Sherwood Forest Bed and Breakfast, we are in Valentines Day mode, it's really Valentines month, seems not everyone can get away during the exact date, so we are close to being full for the next two weekends, the house will be full of love and roses. With this fresh snow and the temps below freezing, you can go ice skating, either in downtown Douglas or Saugatuck, Michigan. Cross country ski at the state park (you can rent skis at Landsharks). Do some sledding at Westshore Golf Course (2nd hole is the best! and we have sleds). Take a long walk along the beach and wonder at the marvel of the ice on the lake, there are some winter birds on the water too, such as Greater and Lesser Scaup, Common Goldeneye and Oldsquaws, which inhabit Lake Michigan’s near and offshore waters as long as the lake remains ice-free.
