Good Morning Douglas and Saugatuck, Michigan. Saw some of the Perseid Meteor shower last night. You should be able to catch it again tonight, best time will be between 10:30 pm and 1 am in the morning.

The dog days of summer are in full swing here in West Michigan! The temperature will be close to 80 degrees today' with hardly any wind, the rest of the week and weekend look the same with the temps in the mid 80’s. Don’t you just love summer in Douglas Michigan

Here at Sherwood Forest Bed and Breakfast, it’s another great beach day, perfect for working on your tan, taking a bike ride along the lakeshore, flying a kite or take a picnic at the state park. Looking for something to do, here are a few suggestions...

Pick Blueberries at Krupa's on Blue star Highway, ($20 for 10 lbs unpicked). Their open probably til August 23.

Free Music in the park, downtown Saugatuck Creolizaiton, Zydeco-Cajun at the Wicks Park Gazebo on Water Street. Performance time 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Perfect day to have lunch at the Red Dock café next to the Keewatin Steamship in Douglas. Try their pulled pork sandwich, best in West Michigan!!!!

Breakfast this morning is cheese and potato egg bake, raisin buttermilk muffins and chocolate zucchini bread, fresh fruit salad and of course Italian Espresso organic coffee (yes-free trade too).
